Who are you?
My name is Sierra. I’m a student, and like most of you I have been as long as I can remember. It’s soon to be all over when I graduate this May… You could say I’m ecstatic and terrified. But I’m more than a student. I’m also a dog-lover, a nail-biter, and a fuzzy sock enthusiast.
I was born and raised on the east side of Madison in a family of seven. Yes, that means I have four siblings, and I’m the oldest. Sooo I might have turned out a little more “momish” than most.
Throughout high school I dreamed of one day being a Badger. I didn’t even send my application until the very last day at the very last minute because I had to make sure my essay was perfect. I still remember the date I was admitted – February 17th, 2011.
I got a job as a tour guide at University Housing the summer of my sophomore year. During my years as a tour guide I’ve answered a lot of weird questions and discovered different resources I didn’t know I (or any student) could use. My arsenal of UW-Madison and college tips, tricks, and answers is pretty scary, and what would I do with them if I didn’t share them with you?!?
Why are you writing this blog?
I’m writing UW Badger Hints so I can log those allusive experiences, tips, and tricks I have picked up to help future and current Badgers with all things college. This blog will be a place were students can come for answers, support, and entertainment. Maybeee I also want to live vicariously through you and repeat my years as a UW-Madison student. 🙂
Please remember that the views expressed on UW Badger Hints are mine alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of the University of Wisconsin–Madison or University Housing.
