Who are you?
My name is Sierra. I’m a student, and, like most of you, I have been as long as I can remember. It’s soon to be all over when I graduate this May… You could say I’m ecstatic and terrified. But I’m more than a student. I’m also a dog-lover, a nail-biter, and a fuzzy sock enthusiast.
I was born and raised on the east side of Madison in a family of seven. Yes, that means I have four siblings, and I’m the oldest. Sooo I might have turned out a little more “momish” than most.
Throughout high school I dreamed of one day being a Badger. I didn’t even send my application until the very last day at the very last minute because I had to make sure my essay was perfect. I still remember the date I was admitted – February 17th, 2011.
I got a job as a tour guide at University Housing the summer of my sophomore year. During my years as a tour guide I’ve answered a lot of weird questions and discovered different resources I didn’t know I (or any student) could use. My arsenal of almost useless UW Madison and college tips, tricks, and answers is pretty scary.
Why are you writing this blog?
I’m writing UW Badger Hints so I can log my experiences, tips, and tricks I have picked up about UW Madison to help future and current Badgers with all things college. This blog will be a place were students can come for answers, support, and entertainment. Maybeee I also want to live vicariously through you and repeat my years as a UW Madison student. 🙂
